We are dedicated to raising awareness and inspiring individuals and families to shift to a plant-based lifestyle which is healing for individuals and the planet.

We are one of the first centres in China providing plant based education and resources.

Our journey began in 2015 in Ningbo China as part of a life long passion of founder Denise Bradford to bring wisdom on healthy living and saving the planet into reality.

Denise saw a need in communities to address rising health epidemics, worsening environmental and climate degradation. However, she recognised that most lifestyle changes by an individual were extremely challenging and often failed as an endeavor. At the core of addressing this issue was paying attention to the family unit and providing the community support to make the transition to sustainable lifelong habits of whole food plant based living.

This led to the vision and establishment of Essential Wellness Center, a community support network to help individuals and families achieve their goals and share a passion of loving and preserving our planet for future generations of all species.

Why live plant based ?

Weight Loss

Eating more plants instead of processed meats and packaged products, is one of the most valuable actions we can take to treat obesity. This is because gram for gram, whole-food plant-based foods are lower in calories, higher in fibre, minerals and vitamins and significantly more filling.

Reverse Disease

Harvard Medical School — which considers their own Harvard Healthy Eating Plan to be one example of a balanced, plant-based diet has stated that “The latest and best scientific evidence shows that a plant-based diet rich in vegetables, whole grains, healthy fats, and healthy proteins lowers the risk of weight gain and chronic disease.”

Our Success Stories

Mrs. Sun is a 58-year-old a woman from Henan. She left Henan on October 4 and went to Ningbo for 2 weeks to participate in our 28-day program and learn how to reverse type 2 diabetes. Before she left Henan, she underwent a fasting blood glucose test at the local hospital – 11.35! Two weeks after starting a new diet according to our diet guidelines, her fasting blood sugar dropped to 6.29 in 14 days. She enjoyed the food and never went hungry. She preferred Chinese food but Western, Indian or any other cultural food is still possible. No matter what cultural background you have, you will find this program powerful!
